Priority Waste is proud to partner with Macomb Township to provide top-quality waste and disposal services. We are committed to caring for the environment and the people of Macomb Township, actively supporting local community education and sustainability initiatives.

  • Service Days: Monday – Friday
  • Compost Pickup Period: 3/30/2026 – 12/11/2026 Weekly pick up beginning on March 30th and ending on December 11th. Residents must place materials in Kraft paper bags or properly labeled containers up to 32 gallons.
  • HHW, Shred, E-Waste Events: Contractor responsible for hosting (1) hazardous waste collection annually and (1) shred & E-waste event annually.
  • Other Notes: Senior discount available. Veteran discount – 3% (Annual Prepay discount – 3%) Autopay Pay Discount – 3%
  • Senior/Veteran Discount? Apply via mail or in person w/Macomb Treasury office. Proper identification required.

If your service day is on or after the holiday, that week, your service day will be delayed one day.

How do I report a missed pickup or a damaged cart?

What are acceptable recyclable materials?
Paper: Newspaper, junk mail, flattened cardboard and box board, magazines, mixed paper.
Metal: Empty cans and aerosol cans, aluminum, tin.
Plastic: Bottles, jugs, storage containers, tubs.
What materials are not accepted for recycling?
Materials not accepted include: Plastic Bags or Film, Plastic Cups, Styrofoam, Food Waste, Storage Bags, Soiled Pizza Boxes, Pyrex or Ceramic, Bubble Wrap Packing Materials, Plastic Silverware, Metal or Plastic Hangers
