A typical day for me involves helping others. I find areas to increase productivity & success for my colleagues and to make everyone day a little bit easier. I have learned the most about the industry and how people operate. Coming out of undergrad I never thought to work in the waste business. There are so many facets to learn, I learn 2 new things everyday. Management is extremely knowledgeable. Not only in the waste world, but in the business world and in life. They are vocal, accessible, and smart. The best part of the job is free slushies whenever I need a pick me up! I also love being able to chat with anyone I work with for a smoke and a laugh when I need it.
